Water security is quickly becoming a widespread problem, not only abroad but even here at home in the US. WIRED took a look at the water security crisis that may soon be on California’s horizon.

With water crises facing cities everywhere, they are rapidly being forced to cope with innovative new solutions. WIRED also took a look at how Los Angeles is making moves to ensure the future of its water security is safe.

Water contamination can come from everywhere, from existing ground minerals to industrial runoff, but one you may not think of is simple human activity.
